For most Nigerian Christians like others in other parts of the world, going on pilgrimage to Jerusalem has become an obligation. While some go there for spiritual exercise some others go there for mere tourism.

They go to visit sites and locations where Jesus lived and ministered to people while he was on earth, and by that it has been able to build and sustain many people’s faith.

Taking people there has not only become a business but also a mandate from God, and many of our reverred men and women in the Lord have taken upon themselves. The essence of the journey as explained to PTL News by Rev. Dr. Kehinde Anthony Oladipupo, the Senior Minister in Charge of Word based Apostolic Universal Church of Christ is to encourage Christians who want to increase in their faith to visit places where Jesus ministered while on earth.

“As Christians we have read about many things that Jesus did while on earth but seeing where most of all these took place solidifies our faith. These are places where some things happened in the Bible.

“It is a way to have a first hand view and fact of bible sites,” adds Rev. Oladipupo, a notable bible teacher and scholar based in Aboru, near Iyana Ipaja, in Lagos.

According to an information made available to PTL News, his agency organises a ten day holy pilgrimage to Israel featuring Cruise on the sea of Galilee, a visit to the Garden of Gethsemane, The Pool of Bethsaida, River, Capernaum, Mount of Transfiguration, Empty Tomb, Meggido, Nazareth, Bethlehem and many other Biblical sites.

He did not just pick this as a vocation but received it as a divine mandate. He explained, “In 2005 at a crossover service God told me to take people to the land of their foundation, and this has been confirmed at different encounters.

“There was another year when I was at Erio Mountain in Ekiti State with Prophet Hezekiah Oluboye Oladeji, now the General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church, where God promised to take me to the land of the Israelites, and this was also confirmed on Sogunje prayer Mountain .

“In spite of these promises I did not take to it until I saw that God was very serious about it. When I did not yield to this instruction I just discovered that all my benefactors turned against me. For years I began to cry and weep and God said it was because I refused to do what He wanted me to do, and when I made myself available God did it with ease, miraculously.

We got the agency registered and obtained my certificate within a month and I began to do it silently.”

Today, Rev. Oladipupo has the following facilities in his package. These are, a return air ticket to and from Israel with valid visa, a twin sharing hotel accommodation, feeding, conducive air conditioned transportation within Israel, with different marching gifts for pilgrims.

Dr. Oladipupo has been going with Christians from Nigeria to Israel for a number of times, but they could not move last year due to covid -19 lockdown, but all is set this year to ensure that he leads his team to the holy land.
