For Evangelist Odun Akins, aka Mama Shekinah, it was a day of another celebration as she hosts the 2021 edition of Shekinah Anniversary.
As expected the day had in attendance of many distinguished On Air Pesrons as well as prominent gospel musicians and artistes among which were the Managing Director of Faaji FM, Dr. Ambrose Somide and Chief Abbey Fagboro, as well as top gospel musicians in Lagos State led by the present and the past Governor of GOMAN, Evangelist Phillip Olayiwola, and Apostle Raphael Babalola.
Other gospel artistes that made the event included Evangelist Olotun, Evang. Bunmi Majesty, Eyinju Evangelist Israel Adekunle, Evangelist Ayodele James aka Paso Jesu, T. Praise, Evangelist Akilo, Kenny Rockers, and Ayo Abiona aka Adonai.
Other eminent persons at the event were Dr. S.M.O. Oni of the University of Lagos, Deacon Tope Olukole, Mr. Gbenga Ajayi, Adeola Balogun and Omolabake Olojede of Faaji FM.
Awards were also presented to some distingiushed persons among which were Dr. Ambose Somide, Dr. Lanre Teriba, Dr. Aderemi Awode, Apostle Taiwo Akinsola, Alhaji Saheed Balogun, and Sheik Dr. Abdul Ganiyy Akewusola.
Appreciating his award, Ambrose Somide, the renowned broadcast guru who was presented with Golden Impact Award described the award as prophetic and an appreciation of his about 35 years in broadcasting.
“I have received several awards but this one with microphone and broadcasting equipment seems prophetic and indicates the way forward in 2022. It seems to be a crown over my abour 35 years in broadcasting,” said Somide.
In her welcome address Evangelist Dr. Odun Akins also an on air person and a distinguished gospel singer said it was God that called her to hold the programme and that God had proved Himself by the success achieved by the event.
Guests were well entertained with good gospel music, professional programme presentation by the Master of Ceremony Abiodun Afefe Oro, and fresh refreshments of light food and drinks for such a get together. There was also free medical test for interested guests.
