On Saturday August 19, 2023, Dr. Mrs. Comfort Amire led Summit of Hope, a non-governmental organisation raised to take care of the widows, widowers, orphans, disabled and the less privileged will play hosts to the physically challenged members of the society.
The meeting according to its organisers is the first of its type among other series of meetings the organisation has been holding to take care of the less privileged.
For years since its establishment, Summit of Hope has been taking care of the widows, widowers, orphans, aged, single parents, disabled and the less privileged.
The forum will be used to hold discussions and raised hopes for the participants who are expected to be there in their numbers.
The programme starts at 10.00am at Christ in You Gospel Mission, 31, Bola Ayeni Street, Mulero Bus Stop, Agege, Lagos. Expected as guest ministers is Rev. Peter Oyebanji, while Otunba Osibeluwo Adekunle Joshua, Mr. Pius Enefiok, Apostle Dr. Gloria Ebere Okafor will be leading the symposium. Apostle Dr. G.I. Awodiya is the father of the day.
The popular Ibadan based gospel singer Prophet G.A. Oluwarinde is expected as guest artiste.
“The forum is inspired to look at the direction of the physically challenged and we take it as part of our responsibility to raise their hope, noting that despite their physical disabilities, God does not forsake them. Yes, God is on their side, they have not been written off by God, heaven has not given up on them, and we will assure them that physical disability is not a limitation to their purpose in life,” explained Dr. Mrs Amire.
According to the visioner, the vision is open to sponsorship, as she called on all well-meaning members of the society to come and see the gifts deposited by God in the so called disabled ones at the programme.
