Summit of Hope, a forum for widows, orphans, aged, single parents and the less privileged recently celebrated its 15th anniversary with a conference titled The Timely God.
The conference which was held at different centres was drawn to a close on Saturday 11th December, 2021 at Christ In You Gospel Mission, Bola Ayeni Street, Mulero Bus Stop, Agege, Lagos.
Elder Kunle Ekundayo, a pharmacist in his key note address as a special guest speaker of the day speaking on God That Changes Things said there was nothing too late in the agenda of God citing many biblical and contemporary examples of where God changed time and situations.
Our God is the One that reverses the irreversible, and our prayers should be how to achieve the plan and purpose of God in our life.
Elder Ekundayo who pointed out that “most times God permits some things in our life to bring a turn around to our life” called on the participants to seek God, pray and search the scriptures always without ceasing added, “seek God when it is convenient or not, hold on to God at all times.
“As you continue to walk with God he will continue to show his purpose for our life. We should not leave this world without achieving God’s purpose.”
In her welcome address, the visioner and the convener of the conference, Dr. Mrs. Comfort Amire also a lecturer at Crawford University, reminded the participants that “Our God is a God of times and seasons. He will never come too late. He is a present help in the time of need. He created all things by His power and all things by His power and all are still functioning as He purposed.”
She also prayed that the Timely God that acts at the right time would show up in the life of the participants.
Also featuring at the conference were sessions of music and drama ministrations, testimonies of what God had done in the life of the partcipants, good will messages, special prayers for the participants, the partners and supporters, the nation and the Church of God in Nigeria and at global levels, and special anointing service for the members.
The members who were majorly widows, widowers, orphans, the aged, single parents and the less privileged did not leave without being served with raw and cooked food, and refreshments were made available for all the participants including guests.
In the past 15 years, Summit of Hope has played several roles in the lives of the members and the less privileged members of the society.
