At Spring Apostolic Church led by Rev and Prophetess Dr. SolaBiola Adeuja, every thanksgiving Service and harvest Anniversary is a big celebration, and this year’s edition was not different. It was a day of huge and massive celebration, all to the glory of God.
It was celebrated with evident show of love for the things of God, joy in service with selfless manifestation of sacrificial giving.
So it was on Sunday 28th November 2021 at the Church headquarters, 2, Isiaka Street, Off Dorcas Morolahun Street, Egbatedo by Emmanuel Bus Stop, Oko Oba, Agege, Lagos.
It was the 17th in the series and it was celebrated with all seriousness and devotion attracting participants from far and wide including top ministers of God and royalties.
Top among the dignitaries were Prophet Kayode Adio of Christ Apostolic Church, Atamatase District, the General Evangelist of CAC Worldwide, Prophet Hezekiah Oluboye Oladeji, and the Onitigbo of Tigbo-Ilu, in Awori Kingdom of Ogun State, His Royal Majesty, Oba Victor Olabode Taiwo Thomas-Fagbayi.
The celebration went on as planned, with the normals, prayers, praise and worship, hymns, bible reading and presentation by the Mass Choir of the Church.
But the high point of the event came when it was the time for thanksgiving by the societies and their anniversary persons, and it came with funs, sacrificial giving and joy unlimited. It was like a carnival, in fact it was a carnival in its own right, and members made good representation and presentations with different thanksgiving offerings: life animals, essential home materials and commodities, raw and cooked foods, cash and all manners of gifts with everybody thanking God with the products of their works and services, and enough food raw and cooked both for the guests and the members.
Speaking in her welcome address the Setwoman and the Senior Minister in Charge aka Mummy G.O. Prophetess Biola Adeuja who tagged the celebration as a milestone in the records of the Church said there was every reason to thank and appreciate God in all their ways.
She said, “When the Church started, nobody had a picture of what the Lord was about to do. When we look around today, we have grown in bounds and many have joined the body of Christ, as Jesus is leading us.
“We are all grateful from one heart for what the Lord is doing upon his Church. He keeps His covenant forever. We shall remain hopeful in Him always.”
Also speaking on the theme of the Harvest Thanksgiving Service, Mercy and Favour, Prophetess Adeuja told the congregation how merciful God was to all His people.
“We serve a merciful and loving God. He grants favour to His children and showeth mercy,” noting that when a person’s life is devoid of mercy and favour, the person’s life would be full of frustration. Mercy and favour is a special privilege that gives someone an advantage over the others.” She prayed that the year 2022 would open doors of mercy and favour for all the participants.
In his own message the guest speaker, Prophet Kayode Adio remarked that Mercy and Favour are angels that are required to guide one in the journey of life, warning that if they were not well managed they would not last long in the person’s hands.
He explained, “Mercy and Favour are angels and I wish you do not chase them away with your negative characters”, noting that one could chase them away with negative attitudes like pride, carelessness, hatred, wickedness and prayerlessness.
Also in his own remark, the Spiritual Father of the day, and the General Evangelist of CAC, Nigeria and Overseas, Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji, noted that Angel of Mercy and Favour gives birth to blessings and prosperity, as he charged the Church to live without sins for more abiding blessings that mercy and favour attracts.
In his vote of thanks, Daddy G.O., Rev. Dr. Sola Adeuja expressed his appreciation and gratitude to all that came to make the event colourful and memorable, as well as for the organising committees, various societies and all that contributed to the success of the event.
This year’s harvest parades distinguished men and women as harvest personalities with Mr. F.O. Okeowo as Spring Harvest Chairman, Elder and Deaconess Bayo Owolabi as Grand Couple of Harvest and Deacon H.A. Okedun as Chairman Anniversary Committee.
