The death has occurred in Lagos of the foremost Crusader for Living in Righteousness and the Founder of Centre For Righteous Living, Rev. Solomon Aderibigbe Adegbolagun. Rev. Adegbolagun died peacefully on Thursday 31st of October, 2024 at 79 years.

While alive, he was also the General Overseer of The Last Commandment Ministry Inc. with the headquarters in Oshodi, Lagos.

The Ijesa born cleric before his retirement worked in the Sales Department of PZ Nigeria Limited where he served as the National Sales Manager.

He was born on 23rd March 1946 in the now Igbajo Community in Ijesaland, near Erinmo, Osun State.

After his retirement from PZ Nigeria, he remained till his death, a Social Crusader, Politician, Counsellor, and Minister of God.

In politics, he was as associate of political weights like late Chief Bola Ige, the former Governor of the Old Oyo State, former Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo, and the current President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He was once  the Chairman of Lagos State Christian Pilgrimage Welfare Board.

In pursuing his life-long desire to see that Righteousness rules in all aspects of the Nigerian life, he founded a Non-Governmental Organisation, Centre For Righteous Living and partner with other Christian leaders to encourage Christians’ involvement in politics. He was known to have used his various impactful platforms to speak the truth to those in power and he practically led a righteous life.

His son, BJ gave a brief account of his last moments, “My dad came to wake me up late in the night a month ago when I visited. He started telling me what we should do when he is gone, he told me how we should handle his body and take great care of his wife who stood by him forever. Some days ago he called and told me of his dream and that he might be on his way out. Two days ago he woke up very weak, and was rushed to the hospital, minutes later he told his wife, he wanted to rest- AND THAT WAS IT. Paale, continue to Rest in the blossom of the Most High.”

He will be remembered for what he stood for as a man of honour, dignity, punctuality, self-respect, respect for others, and integrity across board. Burial arrangements will be announced by the family.

Meanwhile, sympathizers have been calling in his Shasha home in Lagos among which are his neighbours, members of his Church and his followers in his Non-Governmental Organisation, Centre For Righteous Living, as well as friends and well-wishers.

Rev. Adegbolagun will be remembered for his good works, counseling and prayers. Immediately missed was his monthly prayers through his social media handles. The deceased always sent words of prayers to all his followers on every first day of the month, and that of November would be grossly missed.

Tributes

“With a heavy heart, I share the news of the passing of our father, Reverend Solomon Adegbolagun. His absence will be deeply felt, especially the loss of his monthly prayers, which have been a source of comfort and strength for me. Daddy was always the first to extend heartfelt greetings and prayers to me on the first day of each month. I would wake up every 1st of the month to his prayers. The news of his passing reached me two nights ago and left me in a state of shock and disbelief,” wrote Orente Saidat Aya Ola

“Another father gone!” exclaimed Father’s Son Akpoedafe on his social media handle. He continued, “All Submission to the Most High God. Daddy, as I would call him, has gone to meet with the Lord.

A Rare Gem, A Father and Mentor to a lot of people. We can’t question our Maker but just to acknowledge His Grace upon his Life from birth till the moment he called daddy home. He was one of those men introduced to me by my late Grandma as a Hero of faith and this who Daddy is till his demise.

“He would always smile whenever I meet him, always praying for me and everyone around him. Daddy is a principled man of God with Respect. Definitely another Icon of Faith has gone home. Rest in Peace Daddy.”

Apostle Bolaji Akinyemi, one of his disciples in Christian Social Works wrote in his tribute, “Rest on Daddy Solomon Adegbolagun, a man so deeply in love with God, a Patriot per excellence,” publishing his last message to the government through PTL News.
