As New Creature Women Hold Queens’ Banquet

Women in Nigeria, and the world over have been charged to remain in the gap and maintain the balance in the affairs of their homes and those of the nation. This was the submission of Rev. Mrs. Elizabeth Oludayitan, the wife of the General Overseer of The New creature Evangelical Church, Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Oludayitan as she hosts the 2021 edition of the annual Queens’ Banquet, of the Gospel Women Fellowship of the Church.

The Queens’ Banquet, an annual Women’s Convention of the Church holds between Tuesday 8th and Sunday, 12th June, 2021 at the national headquarters of the Church, New Creature Avenue, Off People’s Bus Stop, Olodi Apapa, Lagos.

Speaking on the theme, The Real Woman, Rev. Mrs. Oludayitan, popularly called Mummy G.O. admonished women to make the expected difference in taking care of their homes and the affairs of the nation.

“From the way God created women, wives are supposed to complement their husbands as help meets and we believe it is the responsibility of wives to fill that role and whoever does that is the Real Woman as ordained by God,” she affirmed, calling on women at all levels to live up to that expectation.

According to her these are some of the issues she would lead all women coming to the Banquet to look into.

“Women have evolved from being ordinary spare tyres to become responsible leaders across all works of live. Today we see and hear of women who lead nations, women that lead businesses and women that lead institutions as we also have responsible women leading ministries. It is therefore very important for women to prepare for these demands and global responsibilities wherever they found themselves.”

She continued, “Right away from the home front, God has designed roles to play for the woman, as a wife, as a mother and as a manager of home resources. It is therefore part of the responsibility of women to prepare future leaders of tomorrow and that starts from the home.”

A list of highly resourceful women has also been assembled from within and outside the Church to teach participants on how to be The Real Woman wherever they find themselves. Among these are Rev. Mrs. E. B. Oguntoye, Rev. Mrs. Hannah Idowu, Rev. Mrs. Ruth Emmanuel, Revd. Mrs. Rahael Senu, Pastor Mrs. Cecilia Whesu, Pastor Mrs. Mary Ayodele, and Pastor Mrs. Elizabeth Oyatogun.

There are others like Rev. Mrs. Titilayo Ajose, Rev. Mrs Olumolawa, Rev. Dr. Peter Alinyoh, Pastor Mrs. Elizabeth Ezu and Revd. Mrs. Shade Toyin Kehinde.

The conference begins with Female Ministers’ Conference on Tuesday, 8th to Thursday, 10th June, 2021 and continues with General Women’s Conference from Thursday 10th to Sunday 12th June, 2021, featuring sessions of teachings, workshops, training and empowerment, Health Talks and Welfare programmes, and would be rounded off with a special thanksgiving service on Sunday.

According to the organisers there would be provision for free accommodation and feeding for the participants.
