Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God has extended his hand of love to the National Overseer of the Church Pastor Joseph Obayemi on the occasion of his birthday.
Pastor Obayemi was a day older today June 3, 2020. Pastor Obayomi is also the Pastor in Charge of the Region 2 of the Church with headquarters at the Green Pastures Arena, 22 Market Street, Somolu, Lagos.
Until his announcement as the National Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God in January 2017, little was known about the unassuming man of God, but he is also revered as a very humble, amiable, filled with the spirit of God.
He was the former Assistant General Overseer in charge of finance of the Church. Pastor Adeboye in his Twitter page wished Pastor Obayemi a happy birthday and simply prayed that the good Lord would uphold him till the end.
The statement read, “Happy birthday Pastor J.O. Obayemi National Overseer of RCCG Nigeria. I pray the Good Lord uphold you till the end. Amen.”
Other messages were also received by Pastor Obayemi on his birthday. One of them read, “You have impacted so many lives positively through your words of wisdom, may God’s goodness and mercy continue to be with you today and always.”
Even though very little is known of Pastor Obayemi outside his church, he is well known as a man of great love for God, souls for revival and passion for prayer and undiluted word of God. He is also respected for his humble nature and love for mankind.
Since he was pronounced National Overseer, not much is heard about him in the outside world. But he has been representing his General Overseer in a number of interdenominational programmes as he is very prominent at his Green Pastures Region 2, headquarters of the Church where he superintends over spiritual matters of the region.
Pastor Joseph Obayemi is a member of the Governing Board of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, he was the Assistant General Overseer in charge of Finance, and later a Special Assistant to the General Overseer. He is presently the Pastor in Charge of Region 2, Green Pastures Arena, Somolu, Lagos.
