Julius Adegunnna, the publisher of PTL News has started another session of training for aspiring writers.

This fresh idea became a public knowledge through a programme he tagged The Writers’ Summit.

According to him Writers Summit was set up for the following reasons,

“As a platform where writers and publishers can interact and relate with one another for the purpose of networking, sharing of information, education and mutual benefits from one another.

“To create opportunities for members and interested public on how they can discover their potentials and develop their skills in Writing,
“To see how we can use the benefits of our gifts to improve ourselves and make greater impacts in our larger community, and
“To build a Community of teams of Writers, proofreaders and editors for members and outsiders to accomplish their Writing and Publishing goals.”

He went further to state the modalities for the operation of the platform which are,

“There shall be training programmes for those who want to know more, as well as the need for members to review their Writings and Published works.”
He also informed that there would also be seminars, writing workshops, sharing of print and online learning materials, mentorship and fellowship on the platform.”
He also explained that the modus operandi for the training programme are divided into three;
The first is for those who want to learn physically in groups, as some have enlisted and have already commenced training.
The second group is for those who want to be trained through the instrument of online facilities and Social Media, which shall be conducted through WhatsApp, Voice Notes, Zoom or Video Recordings, and any other platform that can deliver the message.

He added that the training sessions shall be through direct physical teaching, online training through the Internet and Social Media devices, as well as One on One training and mentorship.

He called on all intending and aspiring writers to take the advantage offered by the programme to discover their gifts, improve on them and make expected impacts through their writing and publications.

Julius Adegunna is the publisher of PTL News, a foremost Christian Newspaper based in Lagos. He had his education at the then University of Ife, after which he proceeded to the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ogba, Lagos and capped it with Master in Communication Studies of Lagos State University.

He said the programme will not only help trainees to know how to write but also how to use their writing training to achieve their life purposes.
