With the successful conclusion of the 20th Convention of Preach The Word Evangelistic Team and the Annual Colloquium of Chaplains Fellowship of Nigeria, the stage has been set for 2021 as a year of dominion. These were the words of the General Overseer of Preach The Word, and the Grand Commandant and National President of Chaplains Fellowship of Nigeria, Archbishop Afilaka Ayodele Lawrence J.P. in a post convention and New Year chat with PTL News.
The grand finale of the Church Convention and the Chaplains Colloquium was held on Saturday December 19, 2020 at the Church headquarters, 86, Old Otta Road, Beside Little Angels, By Ile-Epo/Abule Egba and Ekoro Junction, Lagos State.
The combined programme which had Bishop Jacob Adeyemi as Guest Speaker also had a renowned missionary and philanthropist Princess Ngozi Emilia Oluwagbemiga as the Special Guest of Honour.
Archbishop Afilaka used the occasion to admonish members and the general public to forget about the ugly experiences of the year 2020 and move victoriously into the realm of dominion for 2021.
Quoting Psalm 72 verse 8, the Chaplain Commandant General called on the members to work in righteousness as he assured that the word of God would be confirmed on them and they would “rule from sea to sea and from river to the ends of the earth.”
The convention featured various activities among which were Chaplains’ Parade and Inspection of Guards of Honour by the Commandant General and the Special Guest, Lecture by the Guest Lecturer, Conferment of Honours and Awards and thanksgiving session.
Also present at the event were officers of Chaplains Fellowship of Nigeria and Preach The Word Evangelistic Ministry, among which were Chaplain Rev. Mrs. Bolanle Adereti, Matron, Chaplain Bishop Olusesan Adeniyan, Secretary, Chaplain Bishop Ebenezer Oladeji, G.O.C. Chaplain Pastor David Haruna, Captain Akintunde and Chaplain Bishop Ubom among others.
