Come Saturday October 30, 2021, Pastor/Prophet Stephen Adeyinka Olaoluwa Adesoji, the Senior Minister in Charge and the founder of Christ Apostolic Church, Prayer Embassy, Osogbo, Osun State would play hosts to friends, fellow ministers and well wishers on the occasion of the celebration of his 50th birthday.
The event is not like any other, as it is expected to be celebrated rolling out drums for all to hear and come and celebrate God in the life of the birthday man of God.
The celebration train begins at his Church, CAC Prayer Embassy District headquarters Transformer Bus Stop, Ayegbami, Ayekale Area, Ota-Efun, in the ancient city of Osogbo, Osun State capital with thanksgiving service while reception holds at the exclusive Adebimpe Event Centre, Omo West, Ikirun Road, Osogbo, also in Osun State.
Prophet Adesoji who in all indications has a very humble beginning has been exalted by God to the extent of becoming spiritual father to kings and queens, and those that matter in the society.
Prophet Stephen Adeyinka Adesoji was born 31st October, 1971 to the family of Elder & late Deaconess Gabriel Adedire Adesoji of Akoda Compound, Ile-Ife in Ife East Local Government area, Osun State. He is the fourth child of six of his parents. His mother Deaconess Dorcas Alake Adesoji (of blessed memory) was the pioneer band leader of Egbe Alaafia of C. A. C. Oke Itunu. His father Pa (Elder) Gabriel Adedire Adesoji is the current Church Patron of Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Itunu, Alayo Zonal Headquarters, Osogbo. Prophet Yinka as popularly called was brought up in the way of the Lord right from his childhood as a covenant child.
Trained at CAC Theological Seminary, Ile-Ife from 1995 to 1997, Prophet Adesoji has worked under several leaders, Churches and ministries where he has distinguished himself to become what he is today.
Speaking in an interview with PTL News, the celebrant acknowledged the mercy and favour of God upon him.
“I am very glad to celebrate my first 50 years on earth. It has been God all through. It has pleased God to raise me from a very humble state to make me what and who I am today.
“Underneath this, I am a person that takes my time to study people. I have credible leaders I have learnt so much from. I have my biological father Elder Gabriel Adedire Adesoji to learn from, I have spiritual fathers like Prophet Oyedele, and like all other Christians and ministers of God, we have Jesus Christ as our eternal example. So we have a lot of people to learn from.
“We of course can add this, it is not enough to learn from people if you are not ready to act what you have learnt. I have not only learnt from the people but I have been able to use and adopt what I learned from them as my gain. From my leaders and mentors, I have been able to learn godliness, obedience to God’s will, commandments and instructions, humility as a virue, and contentment. I have also been able to gain spiritual insights into the word of God, prophetic gifts as well as power of prevailing prayers.”
Records have it that Prophet Yinka who did not have the privilege and luxury of attending formal higher institution had to opt for a trade. He has earlier attended L. A. T. T. C. Demonstration Primary School, Osogbo from 1997 – 1983, and St. Charles Grammar School, which he could not complete perhaps by providence.
He however submitted to the will of his parents without any bitterness of heart. Though he has every reason to do so because the education of his three elder brothers did not stop, neither did the problem of his parents affected the education of his two younger sisters. He waited for the Lord and strongly believed that he would fulfil God’s purpose for his life and be greater in life, whether he goes to school or not.
The birthday boy never waited too long to decide on what to do in life. He presented to his parents to either learn plumbing work or learn how to sell Spare Parts (at Ajegunle, Osogbo). These two jobs were brought before the Lord through Prophet Oloriegbe (Baba Woli of CAC Oke Igbala Gbonmi, Osogbo) but God did not approve any of the two rather God directed that he should learn printing trade.
In 1986, Prophet Adesoji left Osogbo for Ile Ife to start learning printing. He enrolled with Olajide Printing Press, Ile-Ife. He was loved by his master – Prince Adetokunbo and other apprentices. After the end of his three years (1986-1989) training, he had his freedom ceremony without any fun fair. After his freedom, his parents tried all they could to buy him small printing machine and other equipment/tools but every of their efforts could not yield any positive results. After all these, in the year 1990, he went to meet his elder brothers (Femi and Samuel) in Bida, Niger State. Later he secured employment with Lorwo Press, Gbangbara, Bida from 1990 to 1993 before he came back to Osogbo. In the process to secure a place to work, he finally moved to Lagos in 1993 where he stayed with his immediate elder brother Evangelist Michael Adesoji (now Pastor Michael Adesoji). He worked briefly with Chemiron Pharmaceutical Company, Ikeja after he has been on the street of Lagos for several months.
Convinced of his calling to the service of God, Young Adesoji yielded to this noble calling which made him to proceed to Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary, Ile-Ife in 1995 and graduated in 1997.
Before the completion of his Theological Training, one thing led him to Prophet Ezekiel O. Oyedele of Christ Gospel Apostolic Church, Lagos. This is where he started his tutelage in the Ministry. He was with his Spiritual father from 1996 to 2nd January, 2006. He was very loyal, faithful, dedicated and committed throughout the time he was with his Spiritual father. In his quest for higher education, he started taking lessons from people around him though many people never believed that he did not have school certificate.
Today he has not only been able learn all he needs for communicating Christ to all, he has been able to add knowledge from all available sources including a Diploma from Lagos State University where he graduated in 2000 with a Diploma in Religious Studies.
Since he took up his ministerial calling, Prophet Adesoji has served in the following Churches and missions; which has strongly prepared him for where he is today. He served as an Evangelist at Christ Gospel Apostolic Church, Miracle Centre, Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos from 1996 to 1st November, 1998; where he served as curate Pastor to Prophet E. O. Oyedele, the General Superintendent of CGAC, Miracle Centre from 1st November, 1998 to 2003; from where he was promoted to the rank of District Superintendent and he later became the pioneer District Superintendent, CGAC Miracle Centre, from 2003 to 2nd January, 2006.
After receiving a counsel from his biological father, Elder Pa Adesoji Snr. he returned to Christ Apostolic Church, where the authority of the church transferred him to C. A. C. Oke Iye Ilode District Headquarters as curate and he was there from 7th January, 2006 to December 31st, 2006. From C. A. C. Oke – Iye Ilode, he joined Pastor/Prophet S. A. Aluko (One the great Church Planters in CAC). He was posted to C. A. C. Ile Anu, Ikotun, Lagos from 1st January, 2007 to April, 2008. He also served at C. A. C. Ile Anu Valentino, Ondo from April 2008 to December 25th, 2011 and C. A. C. Ile Anu Ojodu Berger, Lagos from 26th December, 2011 to 28th February, 2012 before starting his own assembly CAC Prayer Embassy, in Osogbo, Osun State.
In obedience to the directive of God, Prophet Stephen Adeyinka Adesoji left C.A.C. Ile Anu Valentino, Ondo under the leadership of Prophet S. A. Aluko on 28th February, 2012 to establish Christ Apostolic Church Prayer Embassy. The first service of C.A.C. Prayer Embassy was held on Sunday 11th March, 2012 with twenty-one souls. The Church (Prayer Embassy) is standing on a three legged vision which are: (1) The Word of God (2) Prayer and (3) What the Lord says.
