The beautiful landscape of the Love of Christ Generation Church Cathedral situated in Victoria Island Lagos was declared open on Sunday September 5, 2021. The grand opening of the monumental Church was witnessed by dignitaries across all walks of life.
Among the dignitaries included front row Nigerians like Church leaders, politicians, Governors, business men and women, celebrities, musicians and all that matter in the society.
The Cathedral was built by Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi, a renowned philathropist, and a devoted woman of God.
The event was graced by some of the biggest, and most notable personalities across Africa, with the former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and his wife in attendance, along with the Vice President of the Republic of Liberia Dr. Jewel Howard-Taylor, the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A. Adeboye and his wife, and his Majesty the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II, the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, former governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha, former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, and Oba Saheed Elegushi.
Also in attendance was the Supreme Head of C&S Worldwide, Baba Aladura Prophet Solomon Adegboyega Alao, with others like the Founder of Christ Apostolic Church, Agbala Itura, and former General Evangelists of CAC, Prophet S.K. Abiara, Prophet El-Buba, a Jos-based preacher, the media magnate and the publisher of Ovation magazine, Otunba Dele Momodu, and many more. The event was attended by Nigeria’s high society including traditional rulers from far and wide.
The iconic structure was declared opened by Pastor Adeboye joined by the hosts Rev. Mother Esther Abimbola Ajayi and her beloved husband, Rev. Dr. Ademuyiwa Ajayi. Pastor E.A. Adeboye in his message also revealed the main reason why he accepted the invitation to be part of the dedication of the Cathedral.
Pastor Adeboye said before he came to the Church, someone asked him if indeed he was going to preach in the C&S Church and he made it known that he would be going to preach at the Church because God asked him to come to be part of the historic event.
He said “God doesn’t discriminate and he won’t want us His children to discriminate at anybody,” adding that he was a son of nobody, that his father was a farmer but God didn’t use that to judge him, but rather he picked him up and made him somebody today.
Pastor Adeboye, who described the new church building as beautiful and deserving God’s presence, prayed that the place would henceforth be a miracle centre.
“Any prayer made in this place by people shall be answered by God for it is a blessed land.
“It is fulfilment of God’s directive to His servant, Esther Ajayi some years ago, the centre has become a reality today.
The man of God called on Nigerians and their leaders to heed God’s directive for the good of the society just as Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi has done “which made us gather here today to give Him thanks.”
Speaking, an elated Prophetess Ajayi, who traced how God spoke to her in the UK about the vision in 2017, said the place was planted by God for His worship.
She thanked Pastor Adeboye for grooming her spiritually, calling on people with varying needs to visit the centre for solutions, saying it was meant for that purpose.
She called for unity in the body of Christ in order to move the work of God forward and save people from anxieties.
Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi had earlier revealed that the edifice, which took four years to complete, was built by the construction giant, Cappa D’Alberto Plc.
The cathedral has a 4,000-seater main Church hall, 3,000-seater gallery, printing press, tailoring section, swimming pool, gym and a 3000-capacity event centre.
Before this grand opening, industrialists, like billionaires Chief Razaq Okoya, and Chief Prince Samuel Adedoyin of Doyin Industries had also been at the Church in a special visitation just a couple of weeks ago.
