Nigerian women have been told to stand in the gap to meet the current challenges facing families and the society.
This advice was dropped by Rev. Mrs. Elizabeth Oludayitan, the wife of the Founder of The New Creature Evangelical Church and the convener of the annual Queens’ Banquet hosted by the Gospel Women’s Fellowship of the church.
Rev. Mrs. Oludayitan in a chat with PTL News on the occasion of this year’s annual Women’s Conference tagged Queens’ Banquet said the current challenges facing families and the nation have carved additional roles for the women across board.
Speaking on the theme of the Banquet, Women in Times Like This, Rev. Mrs. Oludayitan noted that the new challenges have added more responsibilities and burden on the average Nigerian woman.
She said, “In a time like this, the role of the women has gone beyond being home makers alone, but to be role models and strong economic pillar to their husbands and the family.
“Women within the current realities are supposed to take actions and responsibilities. They are expected to work and earn additional incomes to keep their family together. They are supposed to learn new trades and work on fresh ideas not only to earn income but to tolerate the modern challenges by playing the role of encouragers to their husbands, pray more, study and understand the scriptures, so as to be able to cushion the hard effects of the current economic and financial realities, and when they do this there will be peace in the home front.”
She added that this year‘s conference would focus on the theme and how women can fit into the new challenges.
“We are expecting experienced ministers of God mostly our spiritual mothers to come and share their experiences with us. They will not only teach us but counsel and pray for us, as we usually do every year.’
Expected to join the host and convener are anointed leaders like Revd. Mrs. E. B. Oguntoye, Rev. Mrs. Progress Alinyoh, Pastor Mrs. Yekinni, Pastor Mrs. Bolanle Oladosu, Pastor Mrs. Juliana Dosa, and Pastor Mrs Bukky Apata.
Also expected to join the team of guest ministers are Rev. Mrs T. Ajose, Rev. Dr. Folake Olurombi, Rev. Mrs Olumolawa, Pastor Mrs. Elizabeth P. Ezu, Rev. Dr. Shade Toyin Kehinde and Rev. Segun Adeyemi, while Mrs. Akin Lydia Mausi and Mrs. Fehintola Onabanjo, will minister in music as guests, alongside the Church and Good Women Choir.
The banquet begins with female ministers on Tuesday 11th June till Thursday, June 13, 2024, and would continue as other women join from 6.00pm on Thursday June 13 to 12noon on Saturday June 15, 2024 at the church headquarters, 1, New Creature Avenue, Off Peoples bus Stop, Olodi Apapa, Lagos.
There will be free feeding and accommodation for all the participants. It promises another season of reflection and opportunity to plan for the coming year.

Speaking on the programme the new General Overseer of the Church, Rev. Dr. Alinyoh called on all members of the public to come around to benefit from what God wants to do at the revival.
“It is one programme we look up to at the Church, and it has been a blessing to all that take part of it. This year’s programme is very special being that we will use it to appreciate God, praise Him in uncommon ways, and anointed and eminent bible teachers and revivalist will join us to expose to us more of the word of God.
