A new set of leaders have emerged at the New Creature Evangelical Church. At the end of the recently concluded convention of the Church, the founder, Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Oludayitan stepped down and handed over to a new set of leaders. The new team is headed by Rev. Dr. Alinyoh Dotun Peter who until his appointment was the minister in charge and Head Pastor of the Trade Fair Branch of the Church.
Rev. Dr. Alinyoh Dotun Peter will be assisted by Rev. Dr. Jonah Olugbenga as the Assistant General Overseer, with Rev. Senu Emmanuel -National Youth Pastor.
Rev. Oludayitan who turned 76 years on February 20, 2024.
In his message at the convention, the immediate past General Overseer, Papa Oludayitan who is now gleefully referred as the Global Father of the Church and ministry in his welcome address spoke on the theme of the Convention, “Celebration of God’s Faithfulness” likened the story of the 40 years journey of the church to that of the children of Israel and said;
“We consider the uniqueness of this 40th year convention of the church anniversary and it serves as a reminder of the faithfulness of God in his redemptive work over His people just as it happened in the journey of the Israelites from Egypt the land of bondage through wilderness to Canaanland the land that flows with milk and honey.
“In the same manner we enjoy divine presence, divine supplies, and caring which cause us to flourish like the palm tree and grow like Cedar in Lebanon.”
The Convention is a package of different programmes and activities for four days beginning from Thursday, February 29, through Sunday, March 3, 2024, featuring, various sessions of prayers and sharing of the word of God, graduation of and matriculation of Bible Students, specialization of group meeting comprising the youth, men and women, and the children.
The high point of the programme came up on Saturday which featured some notable and historic moments, like exhortation in the word of God which was delivered by the brand new Chairman of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria in Lagos State, Rev. Toyin Kehinde, Promotion and Ordination of ministers, from Deacons and Evangelists, to Pastors and Reverends, and a special prayer session for the new General Overseer Rev. Dr. Peter Dotun Alinyoh.
This session was presided over by 84-year old Pastor M.A. Adeoye, of Christ Apostolic Church who is the spiritual father of the Church founder, Rev. E.J. Oludayitan.
Dr. Bola Are Live!
Another significant aspect of the programme for the day was the Special ministration by the global Nigerian Gospel Music Ambassador, Dr. Bola Are who was there to do what she knew how to do best for God.
She ministered in songs, prayerfully and prophetically, she offered prayer for the outgoing and incoming General Overseers of the Church, she also led in prayers for Nigeria as she also did some philanthropic assignments.
Rev. Toyin Kehinde
In his message at the event, Rev. Toyin Kehinde who was there with his better half charged the ministers and the people that they had been called to serve and therefore, they were expected to serve God, serve their leaders and the people of God, noting that nothing was too small to do in the house of God.
“You have been called to serve the Lord. You are called to serve your leader. You have been called to serve God’s people. You have been called to serve and not with eye service. Serve the leader when he is there or not. Obey your leaders and pray for them. Serve the people of God with your talents, your time and your resources, live a life of service, with the example of Jesus washing the feet of His disciples,” he charged.
He assured that there are always rewards for every service. “For those that serve in Jesus, there are eternal rewards,” he explained.
The VIPs
As part of the convention was the presence of other eminent ministers of God from and outside New Creature Evangelical Church. Among these were Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Ajose, Bishop Ademola Olurombi, Papa M.A. Adeoye and a host of others.
Other distinguished guests of the congregation were traditional rulers in the locality consisting of Olukoga of Ikoga, the Baale of Araromi and a few others.
The New Creature Evangelical Church came into existence with vision released to the founder, Rev. Emmanuel Jonah Oludayitan, with a group of faithful, committed and devoted twelve men of God in 2024.
The New Creature Evangelical Church has its headquarters in Olodi Apapa and has since grown with over 100 branches within and outside Nigeria.
