The much talked about Thanksgiving Service and celebration of the 25 years of Praise The Lord News as a Christian Newspaper has come and gone. Without any doubt the uncommon memory will continue to reverberate in a very long time to come.
It is of course the Lord’s doing, and so it is marvelous in our sight. We realised that PTL News clocked 25 years in 2019, the consciousness was overwhelming and a preparation to that effect needed to commence and God inspired us to put together a dynamic group of friends, associates and well wishers. With the scene that we saw on Sunday November 24th 2019 God used the committee very perfectly.
My first part of appreciation goes to my God, my creator, my maker, the giver and sustainer of my vision, the great provider, the inspiration of my life, the one that strengthens me, the author and finisher of my faith, the one that was there, the one that is and the one that shall forever be. I thank Baba God. May He accept our thanks in Jesus name.
I cannot but give it to my Committee of Friends powered by the likes of the one I love to call Bro Wale (Mr. Ogunmuyiwa), a creative genius, wonderful thinker and perfect organiser. We both worked together as friends, and mutual advisers and counselors to each other, we turned his office into our mini – jubilee Secretariat, and we put our dreams together and we began to work. There we took inquiries, requests and make plans. God bless you Bro.
I cannot forget other members of the team. They might not be there to come together as a team, but we were together in the spirit – Right from my twin sister from another mother Evangelist Prophetess Feyi-Esan Keshinro from her US base had her eyes of details everywhere. She began the bankrolling in superb collabo with Prophetess Funmi Agunbiade. It is always wonderful to have action packed, powerful and influential women and around you. By extension the works and counsels of our mother in the house Evangelist (Mrs) B. Adenike Ojo Ade and Iya Ewa Jesu of the universe Sister Adenike Orimolade kept us going and we landed in a safe haven. God bless you all.
In this same God- raised team is my dear blood brother. Do I talk about the roles members of my family played? Yes what many of us saw was the results of their supports, Niyi and Bose Adegunna my God will continue to bless you. In the same family we enjoy the supports of Baba Ojo Ade, though he was not a member of my committee, his Goodwill and prayers strengthened us. My amiable wife is also part of the organising committee. All I told her to do was to assemble her team and get at work. She got us the Ankara and her team got us the delicious food served. God bless you all.
Within the planning committee were great friends like Apostle Raphael Babalola-we are like siamese twins, very close indeed, Brother Akinwale Oyeledun, Bro Opeyemi Onisuuru, Pastor Yemi Adejinmi, a missionary par excellence, Bro Yemi (printer) and few others from the bunie like our Honourable Bamidele Ishola, Mr Sunday, and a host of well-wishers.
Outside the planning gurus were our dream interpreters. First among all that embraced the already made God’s own plan was Pastor Peter Ajagunna, our host and the Senior Pastor of Christ Apostolic Church Chapel of Multiplication, of Taiwo Adewole Street, Abule-Egba. The moment he invited us to come and use his God owned Church the dynamics of the preparation changed. He made a lot of difference. For doing this, God will make the work of his ministry very easy, dynamic and enjoyable making exploits from all parts of the world. God bless you Mama and Papa Ajagunna.
With the venue available we cruised to the role of Mama Shekinnah Sister Odun Akins in taking the name of PTL News to places via her on air programmes – Faaji FM, Radio Lagos and Bond FM and all the likes. The good Lord will bless the works of your hand Sister Odun. So also Anointed Tommy and S-Crown.
And the D-Day. It was awesome. We lived the plan and purpose of God for that day. My home reflected a very serious celebration mood. With the arrival of my Sister Biodun and Mummy Olusola Oyeleye (Nee Adegunna) from Ilesa, joined by my sisters in law in Lagos, my house became a beehive of activities with exchange of pleasantries, good will and cooking. One love in Adegunna family is exemplary, may the good Lord continue to keep us together. Let me take this advantage to acknowledge the echoes of the one we used to call Mama Kastina, now Mama Germany, I continued to receive her greetings and good will message from her new abode. God bless you ma.
Still on the D-Day, we appreciate the manifestation of the presence of God- with good weather, safe trips and divine provision, may His name be praised.
Then to the who’s who that witnessed the event with God has made great and historic, I was dazed and humbled. Days before my Royal Father the Akeji of Ikeji-Ile based on my invitation cards and notice believed I must be supported, all the way from Ikeji-Ile His Royal Majesty Oba Adebayo Ogunmokun landed in Lagos and he was there live to be part of the joy of the movement – what a befitting and glorious appearance. God will preserve you sir to live and enjoy the fruits of your labour. Baba is already in his 80s.
Yes I cannot but go back to our host CAC Multiplication District headquarters, they provided for all things and everything. Like Peter allowed God to use his boat which later attracted an overflow harvest, sir the Peter of our time this is a time and season of new visitation for your church, business and ministry. Overflow of harvests will continue to be your portion in Jesus name.
The torrents and presence of our guests were most humbling. They came on time and stayed with us for the long time we took. Our Father of the day Pastor B.A. Abiona, our Mother of the Day Prophetess M.E. Ilupeju, our biological father of the day Evang Ojo Ade, our Spiritual Father’s Primate Adebayo, Bishop Julius Oridota the beneficiaries of our awards. Pastor P.A. Agboola, Baba Pastor Emmanuel Bankole, Apostle A.P.K Ayodeji, Rev Dr. Sam Ogedengbe and the representative of Pastor Adegboyega Solarin and Apostle J.D. Fasusi were all there.
My special appreciation also goes to the Man that God uses, over Guest Preacher of the day. He fired even beyond our expectation, that in the Man I see as the CAC Authority Baba Akinosun, Pastor Oladele and Prophet Hezekiah, the CAC President, General Superintendent and the General Evangelist respectively bottled in one man – Pastor Joe Jacobs, the distinguished Guest speaker of the day. God used him to feed us with the word of God and blessed us with his substance. You will achieve all your God designed plans and purpose in life in Jesus name. We will ever be proud of you sir.
Let me quickly acknowledge the great musical icons in the house, my brother and another Father of the day Evangelist Ojo Ade I thank you, thank you Apostle Timi Orokoya, Evang Philip Olayiwola, Lady Evang Idowu Ade, my friend man of God, Dr. Emmanuel Benson, Omo Ayo, Sister Toyin Ayanfe and others I throw my salute. Thank you too to our special Choir of the Day, the host choir and the Co-Host, from Christ Gift Revival Ministry, God bless you for your support and understanding.
Let me branch a bit and appreciate my town’s people, brothers and sisters from Ikeji-Ile, Pastor and Mrs Olusanya Olawole, another Julius who wittily coordinated the programme with the able assistance of Apostle Raphael Babalola-with bro Akin Oyeledun, it was a very superb outing the roll call of my townsmen and women was overwhelming – Elder and Mrs Sam Oriowo, Mr. Sunday and Janet Olowookere, thank God we are always there for one another Sola Akinlade I welcome with excitement my in-laws Kolawole Komolafe and his sister Iya Adura Prophetess Bunmi Komolafe my brother Prince Koyode Ogunmokun and Mama Adeyeye . I could also see Ojo Ajala, Akinsehinde Adegunna, Sunday and several others.
Ah! The support from my constituency, Christian Press or Publishers Association of Nigeria, from the Secretary, Bro Dayo Emmanuel to Dr. and Mrs Wole Olarinde. Prophet and Prophetess Joshua and Bola Ajewole, Pastor Sola Tomoloju, Bro Gbenga Osinaike, I welcome you all, and thank you indeed.
How can we exhaust the names of over two hundred special guests in the house? Apostle Solomon Oluwadipe, Baba Moradeyo, Evang Bunmi, Rev. Dr. Peter Olawale and a host of other members of Virgin Prayer Fellowship God bless you for all your supports.
I could also site Pastor and Pastor Mrs Idowu Bhadmus, no doubt we are in it together, so also my close neighbour in Aboru Pastor and Mrs Ayodele Talabi I am very proud of your love for me. Thank you for not really paying me in my own coin. For too much of other activities I have not been able to attend most of their programmes, but they have never counted these against me.
