Thursday, 8th July 2021 was the day for the lying-in-state service for God’s servant Prophet TB Joshua at his Church, The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations and millions of sympathisers were there all around the world to pay their last respects to the good memory of the philathropist, humanitarian, and a man that was known to have lived to radiate the love of God.
As expected, while many were within the church physically, there were millions of other people watching and monitoring the proceedings from all parts of the world through Emmanuel TV, the media arm of the Church, and via all media of social media as the programmes were all shown live to the delight of millions of well wishers of the Church.
Early in the day, the body had been received from the Isolo General Hospital Mortuary as the team headed for the prayer mountain of the Church situated at Agodo area of Egbe in Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development area of Lagos State.
The body was later brought to the expansive and massive Synagogue Church building in Ikotun where thousands of mourners and sympathisers drawn from all parts of the world were attracted to pay their tributes and last respect to the man popularly known as the Man in the Synagogue.
The body carried by a team of the disciples and wise men was led by ceremonial Motor Cycle Riders ushering the body into the church auditorium.
The event as monitored by PTL News showed different category of sympathisers from different parts of the world paying glowing tributes to the memory of the departed Church leader.
In an online testimony someone testified to what Prophet T.B. Joshua did for his family. She wrote, “12 years ago while in a hospital bed with my newly born son Junior, both of us were fighting for our lives. The doctors had given up on us, but one day we stumbled on Emmanuel TV and received our healing and this began our journey to the Synagogue.
Continuing, she affirmed. “Yes Emmanuel TV is a person, the Holy Spirit, people may not understand that God is omnipresent and that distance is not a barrier. You (Prophet TB Joshua), may physically have left, but you are still with us in Christ Jesus. Emmanuel – God with us. Amen!
Another watcher described Prophet Joshua as “a man whose life epitomized the gospel of Jesus Christ, unasuming and a quintessential Prophet of Jesus Christ. He impacted the world from Ikotun-Egbe with the revelation of Christ salvation, with healing and a demonstration of the supernatural.
“Snr.Prophet TB Joshua travelled to different countries of the world with the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He refused to join the crowd but maintained his calling, yet he attracted criticism from Christians alike. He built institution in humans, restores destiny and won millions of souls for Christ. His last assignment few hours to his exit was preaching the gospel. What a prophet!
Speaking about how contrary spirits in some participants at the service manifested as they vomited poisonous substances in their systems, and testified about the healing and freedom that they received, he exclaimed, “My God what a man! The Elisha of our time! God used his life to make us see the things we read about in the bible so that we may believe even more. He was sent to deliver our generation. A man who was so humble, his humility spoke volumes, he has attracted people from all works of life. Though dead, the anointing is still delivering people. We still need him but God you know better. This is a great loss to humanity.
Among the list of distinguished sympathisers was the Representative of the Druze Nation in Israel, Sheikh Abdullah Zaid, talking about Prophet T.B. Joshua’s compassion for people of all faiths all over the world. A former Ghanaian Minister of Health, Dr George Yankey, talked about Prophet T. B. Joshua, and described him as “The definition of love. Also from Israel, Rabbi Gadi Ben Zvi, the Rabbi of the Economic Peace Centre, Israel, mentioned the international impact of Prophet T.B. Joshua ministry. Mrs Mariam Ajuzie, a widow from Abia State, Nigeria, spoke about the generosity of God’s servant towards her and other widows all over the country.
Modesto Montero a Pastor from Ecuador talked about Prophet T.B. Joshua’s unparalleled generosity! According to him, the SCOAN founder helped his community to rebuild a school destroyed by an earthquake. He said that Prophet Joshua donated $400,000 to the school and built an information technology centre for the community. Pastor Montero added that the Synagogue leader taught him that “Christian life is practical and should be lived out of love for others.”
The Founder of Belema Oil Producing Ltd., Tein Jack-Rich, and his wife, Elizabeth were also there live to pay their last respect. They described the late preacher as a kind and great philanthropist. According to them, Prophet T. B. Joshua preached love and never discriminated against anyone.
Also, Alhaji Isah Abdul Rasaq, the Secretary General, Centre for Islamic Art and Culture, from the northern part of Nigeria came from Abuja to testify to the good works of Prophet T.B. Joshua to him and his organisation, speaking glowingly about the God’s General.
He said, he always called me to ask about the IDP and what kind of help to give to my people, and how insurgency could be handled. His concern was for humanity in general. There was a time he sent 10million naira to the IDP in Abuja. He had the heart to help everyone without minding where you came from. In the north, we cannot forget him.
To Mr. Felix Awogu, General Manager of SuperSports, Prophet T.B. Joshua was an epitome of love and kindness. He said Prophet T.B. Joshua showed so much love for Nigeria, and at one time he supported the National Olympic Team with the sum of 150,000 dollars.
Felix Awogu, told the programme anchors, the duo of Gbenga Adeyinka and K.C. Brown at the event that Prophet Joshua had always been a major financier of sports in Nigeria. He disclosed that the preacher pulled the national team out of financial crisis during the 2013 Nation’s Cup.
According to him, the prophet donated a huge sum of money to the national team to support the project.
He said, “A lot of people don’t know what he has done for sports in Nigeria, he made us become successful in sports. He has also been a major supporter of special sports for disabled athletes in Nigeria. I wonder how they are going to survive. He was supporting them quietly.
“He was so passionate about sports that he had a football club called My People FC, which has produced a lot of young players in the national team,” Awogu added.
“If those whose life were impacted by Prophet TB Joshua didn’t say it to the public, people will not find out that his good deeds are far beyond imagination. I am extremely happy to witness this great wonderful man of God in my life time. The angels are rejoicing,” opined Ajijala Ajiboye, a facebook commentator.
There were also further manifestation of God’s power at the lying-in-state programme as more people fell under the influence of the Holy Ghost, vomiting blood and other poisonous substances.
“God’s power continues to manifest! A cross section of people falling under the influence of the Holy Ghost, vomiting blood and other poisonous substances in The SCOAN auditorium as they pay their last respects to God’s servant Prophet T.B. Joshua,” noted Emmanuel TV.
A delegation from the palace of His Royal Majesty Oba (Dr.) Abu Olanipekun, the Zaki of Arigidi-Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria, the birth place of Prophet T.B. Joshua, was also there to pay their last respects on behalf of their monarch. So also the Choir of the Ondo State Government House was there to perform at the lying-in-state programme..
Earlier, there was a procession conveying the body of God’s servant from The SCOAN Prayer Mountain to the church auditorium at The SCOAN, Ikotun-Egbe, Lagos, Nigeria.
Peaceful indeed is the rest of a man who preached and acted nothing but love, humility, compassion and service to humanity in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!
