Once again Pastor Enoch Adeboye the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God has charged children of God, that it was time to look up and link up with God, following the recent experiences suffered in the hand of the global Covid-19 pandemic. Continuing his weekly Sunday service message for the last Sunday in June, under the topic From Lockdown To Leaping Up, Pastor Adeboye called on children of God to look up to receive from God.

Still picking his message as inspired by the story of the cripple man at the Beautiful Gate in Acts 3:1-8, Pastor Adeboye pointed at the instance when Peter told the cripple beggar to look unto them saying, Peter told him, it’s time to lift up his eyes, he then told his listeners, that it was time to lift up their eyes. “Therefore, the time to look up unto God has come. When you look up you will link up with God,’ he assured.

Quoting from John 12.32, Ephesians 1:18-23 and Psalm 75:6-7 the man of God listed several good things that could be drawn from God when we look up unto Him. “If you look up unto Him, He will draw you high, He will promote you, for promotion comes from no where but from God.

He added, “Lift up your eyes to the promoter, the one who can promote without limit. You don’t have to die where you are now. It is only God who can promote you and make it permanent. It is within His power to promote permanently and for ever.”

He went further to give reasons why we must lift up our eyes to look unto God. “Why do we need to look up? Because help comes from God.” Quoting Psalm 123 verses 1 and 2, and Psalm 123 verses 1 and 2, he added, “If you look up you will receive help. Look up. Help comes from above and mercy comes from above. It is by the mercy of God that keeps us to date. He is the help of the helpless. There is a God in heaven who answers prayers. It is that mercy that can make good things happen to you.”

Pastor Adeboye in the message also explained how one could tap into the greatness of God by looking up. Said he, “If you want to be great, look up unto God. If you want to be the greatest in your career, if you want to be the number one person in the whole world, you only need to link up with God and believe Him, quoting Mark 9:24.

The cleric also used his message to explain the availability of the unlimited power of God to all that looked up unto Him. Quoting Mark 10:27 he admonished that it was in God alone that unlimited power resided. “If you get linked up with God, you get linked up with unlimited power, it is the only one that can resurrect your dreams however dead it might be. He is the God who can make dead bones live again. Ask Moses, at the age of 80 years, God made his dream come alive again to deliver his people from oppression.”

Pastor Adeboye in his message also emphasized the unlimited generosity in the hand of God made available to only those who look up unto Him. “The Lord is unlimited in generosity,” he also advised children of God to dream big. He said again, “Dream big, there is no limitation in His abundance.

“Don’t limit the Holy one of Israel, even if you are in debt, God is ready to pay your debt and get you extra.” Using the example of the widow of the late son of the prophet in !!King 4”1-7, he charged them not to have small dreams but to dream big.

“Dream big. How do you know when your dream is from God? You will know when your friends and those that are close to you mock you, when they laugh at you and think you are crazy for that dream.

“I am a dreamer, like I had a dream of God giving me a city when I was still living in a room in Mushin (in Lagos) people laughed . Dream big, who laughs last, laughs best.”

He also used David’s example. “Consider David, the king in 1 Chronicles 22:1-14. He made provision for the greatest temple in silver and gold. The bible says in Ephesians 3:20 that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us. No matter how big the dream is to you it is too small to God. You cannot ask too much from God. Looking up to Him means you have to take your yoke upon Him,” he admonished.
