This December, Living well and Living Blessed, a faith based welfare and empowerment programme will be launched in Nigeria. The initiative according to the organisers, is to capture the well-being – spirit, soul and body of the participants.

This was made known by the Italy based Nigerian minister of God, Dr. Bola Anyanwu, who is also the General Overseer of Christ Love Evangelical Assembly, Regio- Emilia, Italy.

Dr. Anyanwu, the sponsor of the programme, addressing a group of stakeholders in Lagos on Thursday, 30th November, 2023 revealed that the programme would be launched in Lagos, Nigeria on Saturday, 9th December, 2023.

According to her, the presentation of the programme would be part of the 7th anniversary of the organization in Reggio Emilia, Italy, where various activities have been lined up for the entire Christian as well as the general community.

She disclosed, “As part of our 7th anniversary celebration, we have decided to partner with our church branch in Nigeria, to launch the “Living Well and Living Blessed” programme during their own first anniversary celebration.

“This Living Well and Living Blessed Initiative in Nigeria is to encourage and motivate Nigerians to go for regular checkups to avoid sudden death caused by high blood pressure;  mental depression, stroke, cancer among others which could be managed if discovered through tests early enough. There will be free medical tests, treatments and counseling.

At the programme Christ Love Evangelical Assembly Reggio Emilia, Italy will “give token gifts to a few ‘less privileged’ in Nigeria, during this festive season like Christmas.

The programme, Living Well and Living Blessed Initiative has also been held in Italy to take care of migrants rescued from the dangerous journey of the sea from Africa to Italy.

Dr. Anyanwu also took the advantage to call on the government to redesign Nigeria’s education programme to empower young graduates in the land.

She advised, “I also want to call on our educational planners to redesign our academic curriculum in such a way that our graduates will not be frustrated in looking for nonexistent jobs which at the end would lead to publicly burning their certificates. There is a challenge of job creation that must be addressed by our curriculum planners. This may reduce the “Japa Syndrome” plaguing the Nigerian Youth.”

The details of the statement as made available to PTL News read;

“I welcome you all to this ice-breaking stakeholders meeting on the launching of our “Living well and Living Blessed” programme coming up on Saturday 9th December 2023 in Lagos Nigeria.

As you may already be aware, Christ Love Evangelical Assembly, Reggio Emilia, Italy is celebrating her 7th anniversary in a three-day program from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th December 2023 in Italy

To mark the 7th anniversary in Reggio Emilia, Italy, we have various activities lined up for the entire Christian community as well as the general community in Reggio Emilia, Italy.

As part of our 7th anniversary celebration, we have decided to partner with our church branch in Nigeria, to launch the “Living Well and Living Blessed” programme in Nigeria and that is during their own first anniversary celebration also.

I am glad to note that Christ Love Evangelical Assembly Reggio Emilia, Italy has always remembered to give token gifts to a few “less privileged” in Nigeria, during the festive seasons like Christmas and Easter.

The Living Well and Living Blessed Initiative is to capture the well-being – soul, spirit and body of fellow Nigerians from the experiences our members have passed through in Italy. We have chosen to start with a free medical outreach knowing that many Nigerians do not go for medical checkups.

It is to be noted that most of our present church members in Italy are migrants rescued from the dangerous journey of the sea but have been integrated into the society through the concerted effort of the Italian government. Most of them are living well and living blessed.

Another point to note is that most of them came to Italy passing the deserts to Libya and making the dangerous journey through the sea. As soon as they are rescued and landing on Italy’s Lampedusa; the first thing the government does for them is to have a comprehensive medical check-up on all of them.

Most of the Nigerians so rescued learned of their ailments for the first time while undergoing the medical checkup.  The government also takes the responsibilities of treating all the ailments identified irrespective of the costs of treatments which may include surgeries and even health management for several months. This is an unforgettable moment of show of human care and love.

As a payback to the society, the Christ Love Evangelical Assembly, Reggio – Emilia will be having an Outreach at the train Station on the 23rd of December where food and drinks will be handed to as many people as will be seen in the vicinity of the train station during the Outreach.

This Living Well and Living Blessed Initiative in Nigeria is to encourage and motivate Nigerians to go for regular checkups to avoid sudden death caused by high blood pressure;  Mental depression, stroke, cancer among others could be managed if discovered through tests early enough. There will be free medical tests, treatments and counseling.

The program is designed to be “one event – two centers. One center will be within the church premise while the second center will be at the central motor park, Isaga, Iju, Lagos State.

We hope to take the Living Well and Living Blessed Imitative to different parts of the country through our partners.

I also want to call on our educational planners to redesign our academic curriculum in such a way that our graduates will not be frustrated in looking for nonexistent jobs which at the end lead to publicly burning their certificates. There is a challenge of job creation that must be addressed by our curriculum planners. This may reduce the “Japa Syndrome” plaguing the Nigerian Youth.
