The immediate past president of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide, Pastor Abraham Olukunle Akinosun has called on all Christians to occupy all mission fields till the arrival of Master Jesus.
Pastor Akinosun made this statement at the annual Christmas Carol of Christ Apostolic Church, Sheraton Assembly planted by the Mission Director of the Church Pastor C. S. Fasuyi.
The cleric who commended the organisers for their consistency in putting the Christmas Carol and Concert together, and appreciated the resource persons said Christians should always live with the notion that until the second coming of Jesus Christ the mandate of all Christians is to occupy the scene.
He said, “Christ is no more in the manger. He has come and left for heaven. But our own responsibility is to occupy till He comes.”
In his own welcome address, the host and the Mission Director of CAC Worldwide, Pastor Caxton Fasuyi appreciated God for making it possible and expressed his appreciation to all that were present at the event, including Pastor A. O. Akinosun, the new General Superintendent of the Church, Pastor E.O. Odejobi, the out gone Superintendent of Lagos Region, Pastor Moses Olaniyi Yusuff, the Vice Chancelor of JABU, Pastor Prof. Sonaike, and a host of others.
Pastor Fasuyi who also appreciated the efforts of the resident minister, Pastor and Mrs Aleshin, said the Sheraton Church had had another branch in Lekki, as God had also directed the mission department of the Church to rural areas.
“We reach out to the rural folks by establishing schools, building health facilities, teaching and training them in the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
He noted that the Church at Sheraton has been making its expected impacts attracting eminent and distinguished worshippers and tourists in an atmosphere of comfort with no tension and trepidation.
In his message, Pastor M.O. Yusuff, said the presentation of Christmas Carol is the celebration of the greatest gift which is Jesus Christ, reminding all Christians that Jesus Christ was the Greatest Gift to the whole world, and it is the responsibility of every Christian not only to spread the message of salvation but to be prepared to spend their time and resources to ensure that many souls were won to the kingdom of God.
The Carol featured Scripture Reading by distinguished persons and ministers, and performance and orchestra by the special mass choir raised for that purpose to the delight of the distinguished audience.
Also at the programme was the wife of the Mission Director, Evangelist Mrs. Fasuyi who in her votes of thanks also appreciated all that made the programme a good success.
Also at the carol Service of Songs were Pastor SEA Oludare of the Yaba Church, Pastor Olaniyi of CAC Theological Seminary in Lagos, Pastor and Mrs Igbokwe, Pastor and Mrs. Ojogbede Alayo, the Superintendent of CAC Victory Land DCC, Pastor I.D.O. Akinpelu, Elder and Mrs. Ademusan, and several others, with missionaries from Adamawa State of Nigeria, and Lome and Cotonou in Benin Republic Mission fields.
