Christians across various Church denominations have been called upon to rededicate themselves fully to the service of the Lord, and most especially as all indicators point to the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
This clarion call was made recently by Prophetess Juliana Oluwawemimo Popoola, the Senior Minister in Charge of Grace to Grace Ministry of God aka Oluwajomiloju situated at 24, Michael Akinola Street, Onipetesi Estate, Mongoro, Ikeja, Lagos.
Prophetess Popoola speaking on the theme of the anniversary, Rededication of Our Temple For His Glory taken from the book of 2Chronicles 29, verses 18 to 36, the woman of God said it was about time Christians and all children of God including ministers and non ministers to examine themselves, and cleanse themselves of all iniquities that would not make them to be acceptable unto the Lord.
Prophetess Popoola, sharing from the leadership example of King Hezekiah said the people prepared themselves, and made all the needed sacrifice they cleansed the temple of God.
She said, “Today, while we need to cleanse the altar of God at our disposal, we also need to see ourselves as the temple of God as the Bible tells us. We need to examine ourselves and purge ourselves of all manners of sins and iniquities that would not make us worthy of reigning with our creator.”
In the same vein, the guest speaker of the day, Apostle Dele Dapo quoting Psalm 24. 3 asked “Who shall ascend to the hill of the Lord or who shall stand in his holy place?, and answered with verse 4, “He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul unto vanity nor sworn deceitfully”.
Speaking on Are there Few that will be Saved? Apostle Dapo asked the congregation to go and do something with Jesus, saying, that “Christians should not only clean themselves but should ensure that other people associated with them should also remain clean. To remain clean is to preach Jesus to them,” he explained.
He therefore called on Christians to do more in winning souls to the kingdom of God.
The man of God noted that contrary to the days when animals and blood of animals were used as sacrifice for cleansing, “our sacrifice today is our Lord Jesus Christ who was crucified for our sins, but we thank God for the victory at the calvary and this should be the message of all Christians to all people all over the world.
“After his resurrection, he gave the power to the disciples and all His followers of which we are among today to go to the world and preach the gospel, and that is our mandate as Christians.”
The 9th anniversary was a day of the word of God, of prayers and of testimonies as members came to testify to the goodness of the Lord and how God has used the woman of God, Prophetess Popoola to meet their needs in diverse areas.
They appreciated the calling of the woman of God who has been used for them in sharing the word of God, in prayers and in meeting their physical and material needs.
A woman came to testify to how the prayer of the woman of God and her counsel helped her to save her home.
There were other testimonies of how God used Prophetess Popoola to take care of families, to pay hospital bills, to empower members as well as show whoever comes to her of the way of the Lord even without minding their religious backgrounds.
The programmes were well attended by fellow ministers of God, and guests from far and wide, among which were Pastor (Mrs) Modupe Solarin, Pastor Mrs Adeleye, and representative of Rev. V.O. Balogun.
Other soul lifting activities that featured at the anniversary were sessions of praise and worship, quiz presentation, reading of memory verses, drama ministration by the children arm of the church, thanksgiving and cutting of the anniversary cake.
Grace to Grace Ministry of God holds different programmes at the church on weekly and monthly basis. It begins Sunday services with Sunday School between 9 and 10.00am, followed by the Sunday service from 10am to 12noon, Deep in the Word on Tuesday from 6 to 8pm, Faith Clinic on Wednesday 8am and 12noon, and Battle Your Life Out of Crises on Thursday from 9am to 12 noon, and monthly vigil on every 3rd Friday of the month, with powerful ministrations and clear manifestations of the power of God.
