Needs Five Million Naira For Surgical Operation, to Walk Again

By the time he was already seven years old IfeOluwa Iyiade popularly known as Ododo Eye with the aids of his parents has taken a stride at the Nigerian public scene through his kind of gospel music and songs emerging then as the youngest gospel singer blaring tunes of a promising future.

For those who understand his Yoruba tunes he sang songs laid with prayerful lyrics of growing and living to become a useful adult not only to his parents but to his entire generation. He along with his songs were well accepted singing from one Church programme to the other. He also made some appearances on some radio and television stations.

However, the cruel hand of fate fell on him which is almost making his glowing dreams becoming a mirage rather than becoming a reality.

Feelers coming to the public space reveal how the promising child of those days is almost becoming a burden adult to his family and the general public.

Information made available to some people who are very close to the young artiste revealed how Ifeoluwa Iyiade has been bedridden for some years. He was said to have suffered from a very fatal motor accident that has left him in great pains making it almost difficult for him to use his two legs to work again.

Presently the young man and his family are in need of nothing less than Five Million Naira for an operation to make him work again.

Apostle Timi Orokoya, a foremost gospel singer has taken this upon himself to lead a fund raising campaign for the hapless family.

In a campaign titled Ododo Eye Must Live, Apostle Orokoya revealed that “Ifeoluwa now growing to adulthood is suffering from a leg challenge that may result in what we are not praying for.”

According to him, “Ifeoluwa who has been making waves from the age of seven had a motor accident that challenged his faith some years ago,” revealing further that the leg injury was almost affecting his second leg as he was also going through severe pains.

“He needs about Five million naira for surgical operation in either South Africa or India”, and he has taken the challenge upon himself to raise money for the needy gospel singer. Apostle Orokoya has requested fellow Christians and well meaning members of the public to pray as well as donate generously to raise the hope of the bedridden singer once again.

“This is the only way to show love and unity that the Church needs now to win any battle against the Church and Nigeria,” he explained.

The same story has also been corroborated by Pastor Samuel Adesoye Ibrahim, a Kwara State based retired soldier and director in the public service who also revealed some of the frantic efforts he has made to help the situation.

In his words, “When Ifeoluwa came to me for a revival in Ilofa town, I saw his hardship on the leg which made me take him to the hospital to see what was happening. When we got to the hospital in Offa where they took his ex-ray, I was terrified. The bone has almost grounded that I advised him not to use the legs again so that it would not get worse. It is so bad that if he continued to use the leg like that we may eventually lose him and his glory in Nigeria.”

He explained further how he has made further investigation that showed that the legs could be fixed in either University College Hospital, Ibadan or Orthopedic Hospital, Igbobi, Yaba in Lagos. “We have been there but the experience wasn’t encouraging” revealing that for the one week he spent there he could not be attended to, and the first leg is almost extending to the second.

He also confirmed that if he should be taken to India, it would not cost anything less than 4.5 million naira besides transportation and caring. Apart from taking him to India they may need up to six million naira to fix the problem.

In the same vein, other fellow singers and artistes like Evangelist Oluwasina Igbalade and Womiloju Ayanfe Oluwafemi have also made efforts to appeal to the members of their public to raise awareness for the needy artiste.
