Fans of the popular Ibadan based drama ministers, Evangelists Oluwafemi and Ayo Ajewole popularly known as Alfa Sule and Wolii Agba respectively were happy and felt excited recently when the junior Ayo Ajewole publicly celebrated his brother on the occasion of his birthday on May 18, 2024.
The junior brother Ayo Ajewole also known as “Woli-Agba” took to his social media handle to celebrate his senior brother Femi Ajewole popularly known as “Alfa Sule Oti-gan-pa” on his Facebook account.
He wrote, “You are my brother and forever you will be. No one has taken your place in my heart. It’s almost time to shake the world together again and let them see the Light that our parents put into us. Oluwafemi Ajewole, I love you and I will always do. We are blood brothers! No one, I repeat no one can change that. Almost Time @femiajewole_alfasule.”
He continued, “Human being will always be Human being, Family is your greatest gift.”
This message may have ended some speculations in some quarters of a possible feud and misunderstanding between the two siblings who God has been using powerfully to change the face of evangelism and gospel drama in Nigeria and other parts of the world.
Evangelist Femi Ajewole who is popularly known as Alfa Sule and Otiganpa is the founder of the Christ Chosen Vessels Dance Drama Ministry, an evangelical dance drama ministry based in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.
He is the elder brother of Ayo Ajewole who is also known as “Woli Agba”. He started the ministry in 2002 with only 10 students and today, the group has grown big and now boasts of more than 40 cast members.
Femi Ajewole and the Christ Chosen Vessels Dance Drama Ministries came to limelight after the official release of Take Heed, O ti ganpa and the popular Alfa Sule stage drama performance which featured his brother Ayo Ajewole as Woli Agba. His ministry has impacted many lives through many of his works.
Among the movies produced are, Ijo Wa (Our Church), Agbelebu (The Cross), Parable, Hidden, Epe (Negative Ulterance/Curse), Pride 1×2, Take Heed, Oruko Nla (The Greatest Name) and Amos 3:3.
His ministry has also impacted so many people and he has produced so many talents particularly his younger brother, Ayo Ajewole who has risen to become one of the top comedians in Nigeria today. He is known by his stage name “Woli Agba”.
Ayo Ajewole, the junior brother is a product of Lead University, Ibadan where he studied Economics is an ingenious talented comedian, actor and musician. He is well known for his gospel-themed comedies, which he performs in Yoruba. He started with his brother, Femi Ajewole as a gospel dancing trio, before he started his online comedy, where he called himself the founder of Instagram Parish Ministry, an online church (IPM), He furthered his tertiary institution and graduated from Lead City University, Ibadan, where he studied Economics.
Woli Agba has to his name an album titled “Oluwa Mi Yo Dide” a Yoruba title which translates to “My Lord Will Rise” in English. He released the album on 4th September, 2018 under his solo record label, Woli Agba. His other songs are Gbogbo Ogo, Ololufe Mi, Eni Ola. He has also produced many gospel films to his credit.
The two brothers’ journey into entertainment started when Femi shared a vision of dance drama with his brother Ayo. They both planned together and formed a Joint Christian Comedy and Dance Group where Ayo played the role of Woli Agba and Femi did voice over.
Ayo took part in O ti ganpa, Oruko Nla, Alfa Sule and many more. He also acted and took part in the group’s movies where he is being referred to as: Jay Jay, Chukwudi Omo Ibadan, Pastor Johnson, Baba Ijo as so on. Ayo became famous with his elder brother, Femi Ajewole after their Joint Christian Comedy and Dance Drama, Alfa Sule.
Reacting to the new development which was pleasant in the ears of their fans spread all over the world, coming together of the two once again was seen as a new thing God wants to do in their lives and gospel drama ministries.
They expressed the belief that the two were differently made. While the senior brother was given the gift of serious evangelism, the younger Ajewole is a gifted comedian and he is doing well what God has delivered to his hands.
Many of them prayed for the duo that the plans and purpose of God would continue to be fulfilled in their lives and the church of God in general.
Ajewole Senior, earlier in a media chat had dispersed speculations about any rift between him and his beloved brother and why they parted ways, when he said, “There is time for everything and no matter what, as a good father, even when you have a mansion, you would not want your child to live under you forever. You train your child to be able to achieve more and then allow him to go out and have a real life experience. A good leader makes people. He discovered his gift and I cannot stop him from using his gift. The best thing to do is to encourage him to use his gift. I have the vision of dance drama ministry; he has his own vision too and to make things easy, I allowed him carry on with his vision and he is doing well.
“I take directives from God because He gave me the vision of a dance drama ministry. When I had the vision of a drama ministry, I called him (Woli Agba) to be a part of it and he played a role. I cannot force my own vision on him. He is not doing dance drama.”
Also reacting to whether he had his blessings and supports, Alfa Sule said, “Yes, he has my prayers and blessings to follow his path and I wish him well. He is my brother and our relationship will definitely be cordial; this cannot change. I have no grudge or misunderstanding against him. When the time came for him to go I gave him my blessings. As for the speculation, I want to use this medium to state clearly that there has not been any conflict between me and my brother.”
Fans would like to see them act together again to show more light of the gospel and use love to win more souls to the kingdom of God. They prayed that devil would not find any place in their midst.
