The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has once again predicted the possibility of Naira bouncing back and this time greater than the United States dollar.
Pastor Adeboye gave this prediction during the church’s monthly thanksgiving service on the first Sunday for the month of September with the theme; ‘Uncommon Miracles’.
According to the clergy, there was a period when Naira, competed favourably with United States’ dollars.
He said, “The days when Naira will be stronger will come back; those glorious days will return when that happens you will know.”
The Christian leader noted that miracles connoted something that is unique, stressing that a lot of times they may not be comprehensible by many.
He explained with how God granted him unusual testimonies, some of which many people couldn’t believe.
He narrated a story of his experience during one of the church conventions in those days, when God miraculously provided the needs of the people through him at the convention.
He explained, that miracles are appreciated when people come into a corner during a moment of dire need. “During one of the conventions, everybody had gathered, and in a situation where we have promised people to come, that God would feed them, all money had dried up and nobody knew there was no money in my pocket. Then my wife came in the morning and said ‘Darling, we would need N5,000 today;’ noting that the N5,000 of those days when the naira was stronger than the dollar.
“Don’t worry, those days will return. I know you don’t believe me. If the Lord I serve is still on His throne, those glorious days will return. Maybe when that happens, you will know that there is a God of miracles.”
He later explained how God miraculously provided the money need as requested by Mummy G.O.
“Miracle is totally unusual. Miracles are difficult to share. God can give you a miracle that will be difficult to share,” Pastor Adeboye assured.
“We are serving a God that performs wonder. We are serving a God that can perform miracles you won’t believe. With all humility, I know Him. I know what He can do, He can perform uncommon miracles,” concluding that God could only perform miracles for those who were His own, to cure incurables and to do the uncommon.
Pastor Adeboye an applied mathematician had earlier explained that when God wants to perform miracles He suspends natural laws, citing Peter’s walk on the sea and other miraculous experiences in the bible.
Meanwhile, there have been mixed reactions from Nigerians seemingly showing their unbelief about the prophecy against the current situation when the Naira is struggling against the dollar in the various foreign exchange markets.
In the first trading session for the month on September on Friday shows that at the Investors and Exporters (I&E) window segment Naira closed against the dollar at N740.38/$1, while in the black market buying rate of the dollar is about N915, and sells at N918.
Following the upward slide, businesses and the cost of living of Nigerians coupled with the fuel subsidy removal have been badly affected. Due to the development of the new exchange rate and the removal of the fuel subsidy, there has been a rise in the cost of living in the country.
In a similar development, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, has told Nigerians to be rest assured that God would rebuild Nigeria through President Bola Tinubu.
The founder spoke while addressing journalists on arrival in Osogbo on recently ahead of a monthly Global Crusade of the church.
He urged Nigerians to support President Tinubu’s administration, adding that new things will happen to the country through the President and members of his cabinet.
“Let’s forget the past. This is a new day and I believe; we all believe that we’re going to see new things for our country through our President and the members of the cabinet. Good things will happen,” he said.
“If we support and accept them and if we are not criticising their every step, we believe that God will walk through them and use them as instruments to build our nation,” he said.
According to him, with the prayers and support of Nigerians, the country would witness a turnaround during the present administration.
The general overseer assured that God would perform a miracle in the hearts of Nigerian leaders, adding that they would have the wisdom to lead the people and prioritize their welfare.
“God will perform a miracle in the heart of our leaders and their hearts will be towards the people and the wisdom to lead us and do everything that will benefit us as a country, the Lord himself will do it in their hearts,” he said.
