In a time when homes and families have become the objects of attacks by the enemies, the only option for women on the side of the Lord is to come together to pray and share experiences on how to salvage and proctet their homes. This no doubt gave way to the establishment of Daughters of Esther a fellowship of women in Christ joined together to lift their families in prayer and put them under the protective arm of God.
By the inspiration of the Holy Spirit Daughters of Esther came into existence on February 2, 2015 with about 20 members with the soul responsibility of taking the spiritual charge of their homes and destinies.
Among the vision and mission of the Daughters of Esther are the following towards becoming winning wives, and good mothers, to fulfill their destinies and have blissful marriages to enrich their lives as home makers and builders, to build a Spirit filled prayer life and acquire skills in spiritual growth as well as build enviable character and proper domestic skills.
Since it came into existence and five years of its operations it has spread to different parts of Nigeria and extended beyond the shores of Africa with presence in the United Kingdom.
In Nigeria Daughter of Esther Women Ministry is divided into four geographical zones namely Zone A also known as Deborah group comprising members in Lagos, Redemption Camp of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Mowe, Shagamu and Abeokuta, Zone B, the Esther Group is in Ibadan, Ilorin, Ogbomoso and Osogbo, Zone C Dorcas Group are members based in Calabar and the Eastern parts of Nigeria while those in the north Lokoja, Abuja, Benin, Auchi and Kogi form the Zone D group. Over the years the membership has grown in leaps and bounds with hundreds of registered members within and outside Nigeria.
Because of its spread, the group reaches out to members worldwide through online networks by Whatsapps and they organise fellowship, prayers, talks, preaching and testimonies of answered prayers across the world.
Their activities are as fellow: Good Morning Jesus hold every Monday between 5 and 5.30 am, Nigerian time, monthly vigil on every second Friday of the month, and special guests male or female are expected to minister twice in a month and it has attracted the likes of Pastor William Akinbamijo, Pastor Dare Ajayi, Pastor Segun Okeowo, Pastor Treasure and Pastor Mrs Bridget Anitai, and others like Pastor Mrs Lissy Ore-Adewole, Pastor Dr. Akin John, Pastor Mrs Tinu Williams and Pastor Mrs Florence Adegunna.
Through the fellowship, sharing of the word of God and prayer, the group has been able to treat and provide emotional, physical and spiritual solutions to many homes. Among the topics treated in the past are Prudency In Managing Financial and Family Resources handled by Dr. Francis Akin John, Prayer Against Sudden Death and Sicknesses, Coping With The Challenges of In-Laws, Over Coming Depression and such other topics as inspired by the Holy Spirit.
There have been several testimonies in its effect with divine intervention in participants homes and families. Members have been instruments of supports, cooperation and help to one another through prayers, caring and counselling.
The group parades spiritually led women of God like pastors’ wives, experienced and well-educated women and mothers across different walks of life.
Among the groups mentors are Pastor Mrs Toun Williams, wife of the Pastor in charge of Ogun Province 4 of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Mrs Julie Ajayi, Pastor Mrs Mary Ayanbisi the wife of General Overseer Jesus Decendants Mission Ilorin, Pastor Mrs Sarah Willie and Pastor Mrs Florence Adegunna.
Membership is open to all Christian women across church denominations who believe in the use of prayers to intercede for their families and break all chains of satanic afflictions in their homes.
