The death has been announced in Lagos of the Chairman and General Leader of Cherubim & Seraphim Amazing Grace District, Special Apostle Prophet Dr. Solomon Aiyegbusi. Prophet Aiyegbusi died on Saturday 20th June, 2020 at the ripe age of 86 years.
In a statement, the Church General Secretary, Special Apostle Opeyemi Ogunsanya said, the deceased died in the early hours of Saturday 20th June, 2020 at the ripe age of 85.
Until his death, he was the District Chairman/General Leader of Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Amazing Grace District Worldwide and an Ambassador of Peace.
He formally founded his Church on the 1st of October, 1997 at 103, Alimosho Road, Alaguntan Bus Stop, Iyana – Ipaja, Lagos, Nigeria. The Church with her units became a District at a National Conference held in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria on 5th of December, 2005. He was ordained a Senior Apostle in 1972, Most Senior Apostle in 1997 and a Special Apostle in 2007 and became the Chairman/General Leader, Amazing Grace District Headquarters in the same year.
A trained engineer, he was married to his amiable wife Special Mother in Israel Mercy Aiyegbusi in December 1962 and the marriage was blessed with wonderful children.
He is survived by wife, children, grandchildren and great grand children and the Church of God at Large.
He will be remembered for his good work within and outside the Church. Burial details will be announced soon.
