The death of the popular and prominent Ibadan based cleric Prophet Michael Ojo Olowere has been formally confirmed by the family.
The passage of the spiritual icon was confirmed in a letter signed by his son, Pastor Sam Olowere on behalf of the family, confirming that Pa Olowere gave up his ghost peacefully on Wednesday July 5, 2023.
The letter reads:
“Dear Friends and Beloved,
It is with a heavy heart but with total submission to the Almighty that we share the news of the passing of our esteemed Father, PROPHET Michael Ojo OLOWERE, a true servant of God on the 5th, July 2023.
He peacefully left this earthly realm to be with the Lord, leaving behind a legacy of faith, compassion, and spiritual guidance.
We celebrate a life well-lived and the tremendous impact our Father has had on our lives and the lives of countless others. He was an embodiment of God’s love and an inspiration to all who crossed his path.
Baba Automatic dedicated his life to PRAYER, spreading the Gospel, leading us in worship, offering solace and guidance, and nurturing our spiritual growth. He touched the lives of numerous individuals through his sermons, teachings, and acts of kindness. He tirelessly served the Lord till his last moments.
PROPHET MICHAEL OJO OLOWERE’s glorious exit leaves an immense void within our hearts and the entire Nation, but we take solace in the knowledge that he has found eternal peace in the loving embrace of our Heavenly Father.
In this period of grief, let us respect the privacy of the Family and also remember us in your prayers. May God grant us all strength, comfort, and peace during this difficult time.

Meanwhile, it has been a harvest of tributes for the legendary spiritual General hours after his transition became a public knowledge. Many saw his death as the end of an era as others saw the continuation of the good order CAC was known for, as mourners recalled his good deeds when alive. He was variously described as a simple, prayerful and humble man of God.
Burial plans will later be announced by his Church and family.
