All is set by Bishop Dr. Michael Sola Adewuyi led Civil Chaplains’ Forum of Nigeria to hold the National Conference of the organisation. The conference which is to involve all members of the forum and others outside it would hold on Saturday, 25th September, 2021 at the headquarters situated at Christ River of Life Mission International, 6/8, Winners Avenue, Olugbode-Itele Road, Aiyetoro, Via Ayobo, of Lagos State.
Speaking in a chat with PTL News, the National President, Bishop Michael Sola Adewuyi disclosed that the federal government of Nigeria has been working out an arragement to harmonise the activities of all Chaplains in Nigeria under a civil arrangement, hence the name Civil Chaplains’ Forum of Nigeria, which would become the large umbrella which others will operate.
By this Civil Chaplains would operate differently from Military Chaplain.
According to him, other chaplains are expected to belong to Civil Chaplains, and his command has been registered to provide the forum for others to operate. By this all Chaplains are expected to register under Civil Chaplains either as individuals and Chaplain groups.
Shedding more light on the September 25 Conference the Chaplain Commander said it would be a day to learn more about the purpose and use of Chaplains in the community with the topic Community Chaplaincy.
“It would be an opportunity to learn more about what Chaplaincy is all about. Chaplains have both physical and spiritual roles. They act for guidance and watchman in the community. They also have pastoral roles.
“Our audience shall be drawn from anointed men and women of God like General Overseers, Pastors and Evangelists, and even traditional rulers, and it would be the first anniversary of the forum. The programme starts at 10.00am prompt.
Apart from the lecture, there would be a special parade for the members and ranks of the chaplain body. All participants would also enjoy material blessings in form of empowerment programme.
For sometime now Bishop Adewuyi now based in the United States of America has introduced some empowerment programmes, especially for his Church members and attendees of his programmes.
He further announced that there would be empowerment programme on the day of the conference, with training for the underprivileged students with scholarship and financial assistance. He also promised vocational training for adults.
These according to him started during the Covid -19 lockdown when Bishop Adewuyi and his Church were giving out food items to adults and children.
Soon, Life Mission Relief & Vocational Centre which is almost ready for the use of humanity and the glory of Almighty God would be unveiled and opened for the needy.
