The album titled Divine Connection is billed for dedication sometimes in June, 2023 at the Church premises, Divine Mercy Catholic Church, in Ijede Road, Ikorodu, Lagos State.

The album according to music minister is a praise worship and melody of six tracks on one side and seven on the flip side making 13 tracks in all.

They are rendered in Ika and English language, of Delta Ibo with the assurance that people from other groups could also enjoy it.

“Anybody can use it. There is no language in gospel music and Christianity is universal,” explained Chaplain Chukwuma.

Reacting to the attitude of the Catholic Church on the unique production of his work, Chaplain Chukwuma commended the supports of his parish priest, Very Rev. Father Joe Ben Onyia, and other parishioners for making his long time dream come true.

He said, “In our church we have a slogan which says, ‘Divine Mercy ! One family in Christ.’ In our Church, we don’t discriminate, we relate like one family and this dream came through our Chaplain Parish priest and the Dean of Ijede Denary, Very Rev. Father Joe Ben Onyia, a lawyer by profession. He makes sure that in the church everyone has one love and that is where the support came from. I am a member of the choir, singing choruses every Sunday.”

On his inspiration, the Divine Connection crooner disclosed how long he had been singing before he came to limelight. He said, “I have been in music and a member of Roman Catholic Choir from my village at about age 14 in Umunede in Delta state. Then I was a member of SS Simon and Jude (Now Immaculate Arch Parish), Umunede before I came to Lagos in 1997.

“I have been longing to release an album like this but there was no sponsor until I joined Divine Mercy Catholic Church in 2011. I joined their choir in 2019 that is where the sponsorship came from. The Divine Mercy works for me.

Chaplain Chukwuma of course extended his appreciation to his priest and members of his church.

“I want to appreciate Rev. Father Joe Ben Onyia, Cathechist Godwin Dibe, my daughter Chukwuma Onyeyechi Agnes, Mrs Rosemary Afolabi, Mrs Vivian Ibe, Mr. Jude Nkeonyemesi, The Anioma Family Union, my House Members – Mystical Rosers House, as well as all Divine Mercy Parishioners, my loving and humble wife, Theresa Chukwuma and children.”
