Following the attainment of the mandatory year of the retirement of Pastor Abraham Olukunle Akinosun, the current President of the Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide, a new President has been announced by the Authority of the Church to take over from the out going incumbent. The new man to take over the leadership of the Church is the current General Superintendent Pastor Samuel Olusegun Oladele. The President designate will fully take over with effect from January 1, 2021.

Also appointed as General Superintendent designate is Pastor Emmanuel Olatoro Odejobi, the Superintendent of CAC Transfiguration Zone which has its headquarters in Lagos. All appointments take effect from January 1, 2021.

This became a public knowledge after the ratification by the General Executive Council, the highest decision making body of the Church meeting in Ikeji Arakeji on Thursday, October 15, 2020.

The announcement was confirmed in a statement made available by the CAC Director of Publicity, Pastor Ade Alawode, at the end of the General Executive Council meeting.

Both appointees would to succeed the current incumbents of the offices.

The GEC also elevated the Director of Missions, Pastor Caxton Fasuyi to the position of a Principal Officer of the Church.

The incoming President, Pastor Samuel Olusegun Oladele was born on Tuesday, the 30th of August, 1955 in the small village of Alagbagba in Odeda Local Government Area of Ogun State to Late Pa Gabriel and Madam Alice Oladele.

Attended CAC Primary School, Alagbagba and at a very tender age of 14 entered into the ministry by training locally under the late Pastors J. B.  Akande and J. O. Ogundiran respectively. He went to the CAC Bible Training College in Akure and graduated in 1974, having trained under late Mrs. O. O. A. Pearce and Pastor M. O. Faloye. Upon the completion of his studies, he was retained on the staff list of the CAC Bible Training College where he worked as a tutor until 1977 when he left Nigeria for the United Kingdom where he attended The International Bible Training Institute in Burgess-Hill, West Sussex.

He returned to Nigeria in 1980 to join CAC Theological Seminary as a tutor until 1983 when he left for the United States of America.

While in the USA he trained further in the following schools:(i) Berean Bible College, San-Diego, California, (ii) St. Louis Christian College, Florissant, Missouri, (iii) International Bible Institute and Seminary in Plymouth, Florida where he obtained a Master’s Degree in Theology.

He also attended Haggai Institute for Advanced Leadership Training in Singapore.

He worked as an Assembly Pastor at: (a) CAC  Oke-Imole, Ijeshatedo under Itire DCC, Lagos, (b) CAC Agbokojo in Ibadan.

He was promoted to the position of a District Superintendent in November 1991 and served in that capacity at (i) CAC Sanngo District, Ibadan, (ii) CAC Oke-Igbala District, Efon-Alaaye, and (iii) CAC Eleta District in Ibadan.

He was promoted an Assistant General Superintendent in 1996 and became a Chairman in 2002. He was posted to CAC Oke-Ado DCC as Chairman January 2004 where he has remained till his promotion as the General Superintendent in 2014.

He is married to Mrs. Susanna Kehinde Oladele (Nee Olawade) and they are blessed with four sons.
