The dream of bringing the leadership of Christ Apostolic Church together under one umbrella is fast becoming a reality. Another bold step was taken in Lagos on Monday 27th December, 2021 when the President of the Church, Pastor Samuel Oladele met the erstwhile leaders of the Lagos group of the Supreme Council faction of the Church. This is believed to have put a seal on bringing the Church together to earn their true mantra of One Fold One Shepherd.

The meeting which was put together at the instance of the leader of the faction under the auspices of Lagos DCC under the leadership of Pastor Dr. Kayode Omoniyi at Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Ogo DCC headquarters, Iju, Lagos.
While the mainstream CAC was led by the President, Pastor S. O. Oladele with some of the principal officers with him, the hosts were led by Pastor Kayode Omoniyi.

Pastor Kayode Omoniyi, in his welcome address stated that it was a day they had all been looking forward to and for which they were grateful to God for witnessing. He confirmed that since their recent visit to Ibadan and meeting with the CAC Authority, he has had very sound and peaceful sleep at night. He enjoined every sincere member of Christ Apostolic Church to support and cooperate with the church leaders in seeing to the end of the crisis and uniting the Church once for all.

Pastor Oladele in his response expressed his joy in having their old brothers and sisters back into the fold saying the machinery for actualizing the unity of the Church under his leadership has been prayerfully put on full throttle since his assumption of office and to the glory of God there have been positive results.

The President whose message was based on Psalm 133 emphasized the importance of unity among brethren, especially the leadership. He stated that CAC members were not the problem but the leaders, and that when leaders allow the oil of unity to be poured upon their heads, it will flow to every member of the Church, and like the dew on Hermon does, “we shall be reconciled, refreshed, revived and blessed of the Lord”.

The president in his statement equally appreciated their individual differences, stating that “we are all different from one another due to our personality types, background and interests etc, like that recorded in Acts chapter 6.” He however maintained that “our ultimate goal, to have Christ take the pre-eminence in all things, should moderate our diversity and make it productive rather than destructive.”

While the hosting Lagos DCC delegation was led by Prophet (Dr) Kayode Omoniyi, the CAC President Pastor S.O. Oladele had on his team the General Superintendent, Pastor E.O. Odejobi, the Mission Director, Pastor CSO Fasuyi, the newly appointed Essien Regional Superintendent Pastor Isaac Olu Eyebiokin, Akinyele Regional Superintendent Pastor Samuel Adedayo; Itire DCC Superintendent, Pastor Gideon Oladokun; and the Special Assistant to the President Pastor T.D.
