Families, husbands and wives have been advised on how to manage their home finances during and after COVID -19 era.
This advice came from Pastor Kayode Adodo, a US based businessman and minister of God of Christ Apostolic Church of America, Land of Restoration, Chicago, Illinois, the United States of America.
Sharing a message on Basic Principles that Guide Family Finances in a time like this Pastor Adodo called on families to trust God for the supply of their needs.
Reading from Psalm 112 verse one to five, the man of God who pointed out that there are differences between wealth and riches said the fear of God and obedience to divine instructions would guarantee getting wealth with the peace of mind.
Without any doubt COVID 19 has touched many family finances but we must be rest assured that God is the source of our finance, He is our provider and all we need to do is to pray for the power and wisdom to get wealth. We should pray that God should open our hearts and ideas to get wealth.
Outlining the basic principles that guide family finances, the Nigerian born minister charged Christians to always remember God, the one that gives the power to get wealth by first paying their tithes.
Using American example, Pastor Adodo said “after the government must have deducted their taxes and other duties what we need to do is to pay our tithes as Christians.”
He also encouraged homes to have family budget which should be transparently managed by the husband and the wife.
He also has his words for intending couples and young couples. On this the financial counselor advised against reckless spendings adding that a reckless bachelor will make a reckless husband and so for a spinster too would end up a reckless wife.
“Try as much as possible to manage your inadequacies before marriage. If you don’t want to suffer financial depression in your marriage,” he advised.
Rounding off the cleric reminded his listeners to always seek the face of God for all things, most especially before they engage in any project or decision, and he closed with prayers for complete restoration of any bad decisions over any error they might have made in the past over any issues concerning family finance.
